Be an open book

People say all the time “be an open book”? It literally means that a person’s life is an open book, you can discover everything about it because none of the details are kept secret. But nowadays, where can you find those transparent open bookers?

I mean, there are some shady characters out there. Haven’t you been around shady people? You can write a mystery and suspense novel out of their lives. You just don’t know what else is coming at you until it hits you in the face. They literally pull it out of their sleeves. Shady. One minute they say something and the next, it’s a totally different story. No consistency, just shady.

What to do, what to do, with those types of people?
In Mathew 5:37 it gives us a solution to these shady, inconsistent people. It says, Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. There you have it people. Stop the grey areas, stop the white lies, yellow lies and the black ones. They all lead to sin.
It’s a simple lesson today, let your YES be YES and let your NO be NO and anything else you add to it comes from the evil one. WOW! Basic.
Stop adding on, stop making up stuff, just STOP. Let it be YES or NO, not maybe or perhaps.
We have to learn as disciples of Christ to stop with the inconsistency. The Lord is not pleased with our make up stories. Don’t think He is even cracking a smile about your novels.

It’s time to just be real. Be consistent. Be honest. Be pure. Be an open book to those that surrounds us. You might be the only bible they will ever read.
